Features

Key features of ConfirmOk

Everything a service officer or post commander needs to keep daily contact with every veteran on the roster.

01
Calls at the time each veteran chooses
Morning coffee, after lunch, evening news. The call fits their routine, which keeps participation high.
02
Alerts route to whoever should respond
A missed check-in can notify your service officer, a post volunteer, a family member, or the local sheriff's office in sequence. You set the chain of command.
03
A documented record for every veteran
Every call, response, and escalation logged and exportable. Use it for county reports, grant applications, and post leadership briefings.
04
No technical setup
No software install, no VA system integration required. If you have a roster and phone numbers, you can launch.
05
Multilingual call delivery
Calls available in multiple languages for the veterans your community actually serves.
06
Fund it as a post, county, or partnership
Posts fund it from program budgets or fundraisers. CVSOs fund it as county line items. Many split costs with a sheriff's office or county aging office that wants the same veterans covered.
Benefits

From Buddy Check Week to a Buddy Check every day

Most veteran outreach is sincere, periodic, and volunteer-dependent. The risk lives in the gaps.

Without ConfirmOk
Buddy Checks happen twice a year, when volunteers can be mustered
The veterans most at risk are the least likely to call anyone themselves
No record of who was contacted, when, or what happened next
A veteran can go silent for weeks before anyone notices
With ConfirmOk
Every enrolled veteran contacted automatically, every single day
The quiet ones are covered precisely because no one has to remember to call
Full contact log per veteran, exportable for county and grant reporting
A missed check-in triggers a same-day response from your designated contact
Active Programs

Veterans covered today, programs we'd start next

Enrolled veterans are already covered through existing county check-in programs. The next step is a dedicated veterans roster run by a CVSO or VSO post.

Funding

You do not have to fund this alone.

Veteran check-in programs get funded three ways. A post or chapter funds it directly as a program expense. A County Veteran Service Office funds it as a county budget line. Or it rides on a cost-share: the sheriff's office or county aging office already running ConfirmOk adds a veterans roster, and the VSO handles enrollment and outreach. County veterans funds, community foundation grants, and state veterans affairs grants have all been used for telephone reassurance services.

FAQ

Questions service officers ask first

How is this different from the Buddy Check program?

It is the same idea made daily. Buddy Check mobilizes members to call veterans during designated weeks. ConfirmOk automates a daily wellness call year-round and alerts your people only when a veteran does not confirm, so volunteer energy goes to the follow-up that matters instead of dialing down a roster.

Is this a crisis line or suicide prevention service?

No. ConfirmOk is a daily wellness check-in, not a crisis service. Veterans in crisis should use the Veterans Crisis Line: dial 988 then press 1, or text 838255. What a daily check-in does is make sure someone notices quickly when a veteran goes quiet, and that a real person follows up.

What happens when a veteran doesn't answer?

ConfirmOk retries on a schedule you set, then escalates to the contacts you choose: service officer, post volunteer, family member, or local law enforcement for a welfare check.

Do veterans need a smartphone or internet?

No. Any phone works, including landlines. Veterans press 1 and # on the keypad. There is nothing to install or charge.

How much does it cost?

Per enrolled veteran, billed monthly, no long-term contract. Posts, counties, and cost-share partnerships all work. We quote your scenario on a 15-minute call.

How is veteran data handled?

Encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not sell or share data. No VA records are accessed; you enroll only the contact details the veteran provides.
